Solar System

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are some of the wondrous of the world. I wonder sometimes how planets were made or how did Jupiter get its rings or what really is the biggest planet?

Well on Wednesday the 2ND of November 2011 we did our little demonstration of how big planets were but instead of using planets we used balloons. Our little experiment showed us many things like Earth is just in the right spot to have the living because if we where to close to the sun
we wouldn't any food or land and if we were to far from the sun we would have any sun at all.

Were was this thing well this thing was at Pt England School the time was during midday the students in room 21 were doing it it was an experiment about space.

We were talking about the Solar System how long it takes Earth to orbit around the sun. It take 1 whole year for to orbit around the sun but for the rest behind it will take Yrs. Why you maybe asking because when it comes to Earth there is a barrier of asteroids that collision together and split into little micro Pieces and float around.

Our teacher picked out some people i heard Brennan then I heard Sharon I wish whispering to myself don't pick me don't pick me then I heard Tevitea’s name and I was saying yes yes until i
heard my name I thought myself oho but I had to go so I went. She was giving out balloons I really wanted the sun but no Sharon then I wanted Mars and guess what I got it.

I thought to myself what will we be doing first well first we did nothing just stood around talk. Then we got called to go outside because we had to fill up our balloons with water but when we got by to our bay it started raining and I was happy. I was singing a joyful song in my head. So we went inside and she told us that we had to blow them up.

We had to stand up in lines in order form Mercury to Pluto and the sun all ways has to be in the middle of the planet so it can keep the planets alive. We found out a few facts like Mars has the biggest Volcano and canyon and that the planets move anti-clockwise. I really learnt a lot of things but the one that I still wonder about is if a giant hand Earth to the Asteroids i wonder how could it because it hand will come right into earth. I really didn't enjoy that activity because it was boring

My Holiday

In my family, my holidays are times to be together to eat, to play, to nap oh and not to forget the best of all... cleaning. It was like a holiday. There was travel. A bus ride to go do the shopping. Sports. Two on two games in the backyard. Adventure. Looking for hidden treasure (while weeding the gardens). Instead of a visit to the beach, the hose and our backyard made up for the ocean and sand. Fun. Watching the RWC final while eating our famous All Black cake.

The game that we really enjoyed was soccer and it was really fun because my team would always win. We were fast, tricky, sneaky and not to forget - skilled. In my team was my little brother Toma and his age is 6. In the other team we had my sister Puawai 9 yrs of age and my brother Heremaia 10 yrs of age. They where skillful but we were more active.

Just like 9 days ago I was attacked by a dog and I was scared because I didn't know how to deal with these situations so I just ran home. It had an aggressive bark and its feet where stamping like horse feet when it charged at me. It caught me then it jumped at me like a lion going to kill its prey. Then I fell over and it took another crack at me and it scratched my on the right hip and it was aching sore with pain and rocks.

What I enjoyed the most was gardening because we got to use our tools. What we used was a spade, a shovel, a rake, a fork and not to forget the best, the machete. I really like the machete because I like cutting the banana roots out of the ground. I had the movements of the machete and I cut lots of roots out of the ground.

Now after all that excitement of the holidays I really can't wait for the next holidays.

Silly Sports Day

Four classes four games which one is the best. Well really it was just a silly sports day and we where having a lot of fun. Now Lest Go Back In To The Future.A long time ago well like last week we had our silly sports day and it was an very energetic day because it was so different. Bcause we had sports that where really cool and I like different.

Where this active was held you are wondering well it was held a Point England School and the people that where doing this event was for the yr 7 & 8 students. What we where doing was a silly sports and the sports that where there where some old school sports and new school sports.

The most active one was the Mrs Nua’s one. The rules of the game was to try and get your appoints out. sounds easy but there is a twist you couldn't move with ball or you couldn't throw the ball you had to pass the ball to your team mates and try and get the person out. There is another reason why I liked was because we all ways won

The next one was with Ms Tito and she had a massive slingshot and we had to put the ball in side the hoop and if you get in you get 50 group points and if you got it in the hoop at the end you will get 100 point for your class but our class only got 10 points because Stevie hit Nathanael in the face.

After that we went to Mr Harris and he was doing the three legged race and it was very fun because our legs where tied to our friends legs and it was hard to move because the leg where the lace was sore when we moved it. The winner’s where Casey and Moses.

Then finally we went to the water one and that one was Mrs Nua’s and it was the most active because we had to go under then side under and side and then it got annoying because we where all ways losing. We had 3 comps and we where really good but we all ways lost that is why I hated it.
