Joshua Losefa

Joshua Losefa is a year 13 student prefect at Mt Roskill Collage. He had wrote a poem and yes i did like this poem because he related to my culture and it was very inspiring. I like the way he said that you can't change your colour but you can change your mind to become a better person.

My Awesome Holiday

This holiday was very awesome. We did a lot of fun things like played sport, learnt how to construct my very own garden and also hang out with my friends. During the very first week of the holidays I went to my Nana's house in Glenn Innes to go and have a hangi(A Maori feast) . There was not that much people there and that was very cool because there was going to be more for me to eat. I really enjoyed it there because I had saw my papa and uncle and I hadn't seen them in a very long time. But my aunty was not there because she was at the Auckland hospital due to some unpleasant news. I was really sad when I heard what happened and I really hope that she will get better soon. Anyway my papa asked me to go put on his gumboots, to go and help my uncles pull up the hangi. So I put on his gumboots and went over and I grabbed a shovel and I just stood there because I didn't know what to do. Then my papa told me to put down the shovel and pick up all the hot burning rags and chuck them on to the fence to cool down. I was really scared because you could see the hot air rising out of the hangi. Then when I grabbed it I dropped it straight away because it was hot. When everything cooled down I grabbed all of the rags chuck them on the fence. I was really eager to finish so I could run my hands underneath some cold fresh water. But it was really worth it. The food was awesome and in the end I felt happy.

My Special Place

My special place is the breeze. The reason why the breeze is special is because it is always warm there and never cold. Also it is the place where I meet my friends in the morning because they always walk by. Plus it is a great place to play cards and sit down on the seats when you are tired. 
The artist that I am copying is Henri Matisse because he uses a lot of bright and vibrant colours that make the painting stand out. Also it makes the painting look alive.  I also like the name of his painting style, which is called ‘Fauvism’ In English it means ‘Wild Beast’. It took me a very long time to accomplish my task and in the end I finished. I really love my artwork. I put a lot of effort into it to make it what it looks like now.

Term 2 Reflection

This Term has been really awesome because we had a lot of exciting things going on like P.E.P.A (Pt England Performing Arts), Sports and a lot of educationally days. I participated in all these events and they were all really awesome and my favourite was P.E.P.A. I really liked P.E.P.A because we performed in front of a huge crowd and it was very awesome and exciting.

This Term was filled with a lot of practicing and it was not fun I really wanted to get in class and hang out with my friends. In P.E.P.A I had a really awesome role I was a rapper and also i opened the performance with a awesome haka.  

When we were performing  i couldn't see anyone because of the light was shining right in my eyes and it wa sore.  The rap that me and my rap crew did was Juicy from Biggie Smalls.  There were two other groups and the raps that they were doing was Go Hard By Ty Tyler and J Williams and Eminem and the song is called lose yourself, and we were called project rap.

Well I have some doubts about this term and some ups but all together it was an awesome term

The Incredible Hulk

Once Upon a time a beast was awaken from the undead and his name was Hulk.  He would crush anything that came in his way.  He was put down because whenever he got angry he would cause a lot of destruction.  But he had one weakness and it was the girl of his dreams and her name was Rose. Whenever he saw her he would calm down. But then the army would come out of the blue and start to shoot him. Whenever the love of his life was almost shot at he would do everything he could to protect her. He could not control himself when he was in hulk form. He was a monster.

Anyway the army had thought that they had brought him down but he was staying undercover in a land far far away in a desert that had no name.  He lived in a cave with a lot of plants.  He really liked nature because it didn't make him angry it just made him calm down.  

2 years later the army found the desert that had no name and tracked a human life form and it was Dr Bruce Banner (the Hulk).  When they found Mr Banner general Hoffman had realised the face and told them to shoot.  Dr Banner weaved through the plants climbed his ladder and evaded the bullets then he tripped on a rock.  And he got angry.  He turned in to hulk and smashed through the rock wall to escape but it was an ambush.  There were tanks, army trucks, air force and machine gun helicopters they had everything their.  But the Hulk ran and smash everything in his way but then the army retreated and the Hulk roared and the army dropped a tactical nuke and the hulk was weak and fell and no ones what happened then. Was he alive we dont no that was he dead????

Once upon a time there lived a lovely girl named Peach and her handsome brother Jake.  They were not that wealthy and there was not much much to eat.  They were twin brother and sister and was born 1482 on the 25th of December.  They had not lived a really good life they hardly ever saw their dad because he was trying to get money for them so they could stay healthy and fit  .  Anyway their mum came back with some sad news and told them that their dad had passed away.  He was a very brave soldier. He had defeated the evil queen of magic.

So one day their mum had brought a book back from the library and it was not an ordinary book it was a magical book.  Whoever had the book on the full moon will be sucked into the book and will not come out forever.  But there is only one way to get out and you have to get the key out the kingdom of death.  

The full moon came and they still had the book, they got sucked in like a very a fierce Tornado. As they went in they could hear their dad talking to them. Then his spirit popped up and the kids were frightened but then the dad told them to don't be scared stay strong i'll be here with you until it’s over.  Then they reached the ground and their dads spirit had left.  They came upon a door and they peeped in and saw something that know one had ever seen.  And know one knew about.

Taonga Time

Every week we do a really fun thing on friday and it is called Taonga Time.  We have just started our Taonga Time. This is the first one I have did this year and it is really Awesome.  The group that I am in is with the teacher Mr Harris and we are learning about the weather.  Last year we did Taonga Time and it was really cool but I think this year will be better.

Taonga Time means special time.  Every yr 7&8 participates in Taonga time.  But we all go to different activities.  We all do Taonga Time at Pt England School but one class goes to Tamaki College to go and do some PE (Physical Education).  We do Taonga time every friday and every term we switch to different classes.

We are learning how to use weather observations.  So we have to look outside everyday and try figure out the temperature and also tell which way the wind is coming from.  I can't wait to go back and learn a lot my stuff about the weather because it is very intresting and educational.
