Prizegiving

Thursday the 9th December was the day that prize-giving is on and I was very excited. Because i wanted to see who was the brainiest Yr 7&8. The things that i participated in was Kapa Haka and the Yr 7 item and I really liked Kapa Haka because I was one of the Kias (leaders) and I was a good one to.

Our prize-giving started at 7.00 and finished at 8.30. Our prize-giving was at Pt England School. It was for the Yrs 5-8 students .

I was really happy when I was hearing my friends getting awards but to bad for me I didnt get an award. I wasn't really sad that I didn't get an award because I am getting ready to take out next year and get plenty of awards.

The best thing at prize-giving was the end because I was really tired and thirsty and we walked home in the dark and it was nice and cold.

The Big Day

Sitting there well I was bored I heard the 8 words I WILL BE GIVING YOU YOUR TEST RESULTS and I was really excited because I have been eagerly waiting for my results I was wondering which results I would get I was hoping it was going to be my maths so then I heard maths and then I heard reading.

Yr 7&8 students at Pt England School sat the test and we were getting our test results today we were seeing what our test results were going to be I was hoping that my mark will be higher then the average and we were getting our test results from our teachers.

It was time for the big test results. sitting Camel and relaxed my test results finally came first my maths then my reading my test result were amazing I moved up a lot from the first time of the year (I was really amazed). But I really thought I could of did better but I am still impressed because I am reading is at the right age and my maths is yr 8.

Solar System

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are some of the wondrous of the world. I wonder sometimes how planets were made or how did Jupiter get its rings or what really is the biggest planet?

Well on Wednesday the 2ND of November 2011 we did our little demonstration of how big planets were but instead of using planets we used balloons. Our little experiment showed us many things like Earth is just in the right spot to have the living because if we where to close to the sun
we wouldn't any food or land and if we were to far from the sun we would have any sun at all.

Were was this thing well this thing was at Pt England School the time was during midday the students in room 21 were doing it it was an experiment about space.

We were talking about the Solar System how long it takes Earth to orbit around the sun. It take 1 whole year for to orbit around the sun but for the rest behind it will take Yrs. Why you maybe asking because when it comes to Earth there is a barrier of asteroids that collision together and split into little micro Pieces and float around.

Our teacher picked out some people i heard Brennan then I heard Sharon I wish whispering to myself don't pick me don't pick me then I heard Tevitea’s name and I was saying yes yes until i
heard my name I thought myself oho but I had to go so I went. She was giving out balloons I really wanted the sun but no Sharon then I wanted Mars and guess what I got it.

I thought to myself what will we be doing first well first we did nothing just stood around talk. Then we got called to go outside because we had to fill up our balloons with water but when we got by to our bay it started raining and I was happy. I was singing a joyful song in my head. So we went inside and she told us that we had to blow them up.

We had to stand up in lines in order form Mercury to Pluto and the sun all ways has to be in the middle of the planet so it can keep the planets alive. We found out a few facts like Mars has the biggest Volcano and canyon and that the planets move anti-clockwise. I really learnt a lot of things but the one that I still wonder about is if a giant hand Earth to the Asteroids i wonder how could it because it hand will come right into earth. I really didn't enjoy that activity because it was boring

My Holiday

In my family, my holidays are times to be together to eat, to play, to nap oh and not to forget the best of all... cleaning. It was like a holiday. There was travel. A bus ride to go do the shopping. Sports. Two on two games in the backyard. Adventure. Looking for hidden treasure (while weeding the gardens). Instead of a visit to the beach, the hose and our backyard made up for the ocean and sand. Fun. Watching the RWC final while eating our famous All Black cake.

The game that we really enjoyed was soccer and it was really fun because my team would always win. We were fast, tricky, sneaky and not to forget - skilled. In my team was my little brother Toma and his age is 6. In the other team we had my sister Puawai 9 yrs of age and my brother Heremaia 10 yrs of age. They where skillful but we were more active.

Just like 9 days ago I was attacked by a dog and I was scared because I didn't know how to deal with these situations so I just ran home. It had an aggressive bark and its feet where stamping like horse feet when it charged at me. It caught me then it jumped at me like a lion going to kill its prey. Then I fell over and it took another crack at me and it scratched my on the right hip and it was aching sore with pain and rocks.

What I enjoyed the most was gardening because we got to use our tools. What we used was a spade, a shovel, a rake, a fork and not to forget the best, the machete. I really like the machete because I like cutting the banana roots out of the ground. I had the movements of the machete and I cut lots of roots out of the ground.

Now after all that excitement of the holidays I really can't wait for the next holidays.

Silly Sports Day

Four classes four games which one is the best. Well really it was just a silly sports day and we where having a lot of fun. Now Lest Go Back In To The Future.A long time ago well like last week we had our silly sports day and it was an very energetic day because it was so different. Bcause we had sports that where really cool and I like different.

Where this active was held you are wondering well it was held a Point England School and the people that where doing this event was for the yr 7 & 8 students. What we where doing was a silly sports and the sports that where there where some old school sports and new school sports.

The most active one was the Mrs Nua’s one. The rules of the game was to try and get your appoints out. sounds easy but there is a twist you couldn't move with ball or you couldn't throw the ball you had to pass the ball to your team mates and try and get the person out. There is another reason why I liked was because we all ways won

The next one was with Ms Tito and she had a massive slingshot and we had to put the ball in side the hoop and if you get in you get 50 group points and if you got it in the hoop at the end you will get 100 point for your class but our class only got 10 points because Stevie hit Nathanael in the face.

After that we went to Mr Harris and he was doing the three legged race and it was very fun because our legs where tied to our friends legs and it was hard to move because the leg where the lace was sore when we moved it. The winner’s where Casey and Moses.

Then finally we went to the water one and that one was Mrs Nua’s and it was the most active because we had to go under then side under and side and then it got annoying because we where all ways losing. We had 3 comps and we where really good but we all ways lost that is why I hated it.

My Birthday

In the holidays it was my birthday and I turned 12 but on the same day we where moving to 3 Bellona rd anyway I really liked it because my cousins came over and it was fun because we played rugby we went to the wharf and we played hide and seek in the night time and it was funny as because I hid in the closet in I jumped out and scared him.

The food was really nice what we had was island food like chop-sew, steak, chicken, taro, pork, muccles, pips and kina. But the most best thing I liked was that I was with my family.

My presents the presents that I got was a New South Wales ball, 100$, Lolly Machine, and the best Present is my new house . The Caked that I had was from The cheesecake shop and it was a nice chocolate cake with Carmelo on the top with cherries and yummy chocolate icing also I had a trifle, fruit salad and a pavaloa.

Moving to 3 Belloa rd

On the first day of the holidays I moved to 3 Bellona rd and I do not like it there because I never get to see my friends. I don't like walking to school because it is to far. My new house is pretty big and the backyard is like a rugby field and we can train on it.

My mum really likes it because it is bigger and we are getting stuff free off our family and it is good. At the back of our house we have lots of fruit trees like bananas, fejios, oranges and grapefruit and they are delicious to eat and make drinks and they taste sour and sweet.

I live close to my teachers house. I am learning Panmure township off by heart but it is still far to walk from my house. I walk with some friends to school some go to Pt England and some go to Tamaki Intermediate.

Reports

My report wasn't that good but my mum was impressed because my writing, my reading and maths has improved. My mum knows that if I want to be accepted in to all of the brainy schools I need to work really hard. My mum and dad want me to have a good education and get a good job because my mum doesn't want me to have her life.

The negative thing is that I have younger brothers and sisters and I am the oldest. So I need to be a role-model to my younger brothers and sisters because they look up to me, and I hope that they get into the same college as me. My mum and I think that receiving a good education is really going to help my life, and that I will succeed.

Our Second Win

Last week we had a home game and we versed Te Papa and they look pretty big but we still manged to win. When we started to go and play I was the wing and the other guy was small and quick but when I tackled him he fell and got dirty so he got slippery and harder to tackle.

Then I got sent off but I was only on for 5mins and that was stink because I didn't get to play the rest of the game and I hated it so I just left to the club rooms and sat there and talked to my auntie about my game and why I didn't play and other things.

Then it was just about dark and all the boys came back for the players of the day and I didn't get it but It was a little bit cool because I was spotlit because my auntie was buying me anything I wanted.

Why We Are One Of The Richest Children In The World

I think that we are one of the best schools in the world because we have good education and other good things like net-books and other fancy stuff. But the thing that I really like is that we have got our net-books. Other places in the world do not have some of the things that we do.

Last week our principal went to America to go and see some schools with net-books but the school that he went to had a steel door and at our school we don't have steel doors. so we are privileged to not have steel doors and that is why I really like New Zealand.

The world is a really big place and the Americana's think that we are the bottom of the world but the world has no top or bottom. Because the world moves nearly every day well it does move every day. We have a lot more opportunity's then the world because we are a really small place but we are really rich that is why New Zealand is A really good place.

TERM 2 HIGHLIGHTS

This term was really cool because I had a lot of new experiences with people in my class and I really hope that next term is going to be the same like this term or even better. The thing that we have been learning about is ‘bigger, better, stronger, faster’ and it has been really cool.

We had all the sports this term like rugby, netball and other sports and upcoming sports and I hope that we win all of our sports. Another highlight is Tamaki Tech. This term I was in graphics and our teacher was called Mrs Ferguson, and she knows everything about drawing.

Glee is another highlight. I am in hip hop and it is fun because we learn B-Boy and that is cool as I am learning how to do the windmill and these other tricks.

This term has been very intresting because we had a lot of things and exciting things but some were just a little bit cool.

Tamaki Tech

Today we had tech and it was boring because we did nothing through the whole lesson (only I did nothing). Ms Ferguson is my teacher and today when I went in they were getting a growling from the teacher. I arrived late to class.

When I got my stuff I had no idea what I had to do because I was lost. But then I had to do a drawing of a scene in the year like a special theme of the year and I choose a Happy birthday card. I had to draw a picture of a basket with muffins in it and there where a lot of muffins on it and other goodies.

Then it came to an end and that was the last time ever we are going back and I had completed a lot of things in that class this term but sadly it is over because I didnt get to finish my last project. I hope that next time we come next year I want to be in that group.
